A couple of years ago, a huge US marketing company embarked on an ambitious project to find out how consumers viewed certain brands and what brand names and products were most recognisable. Harley-Davidson^® rated in the top ten most recognisable brand names in the world! And also in the top 20 brands that evoked passion, quality, style and confidence!

Anyone who has even the slightest idea of what Harley-Davidson means would not be surprised by those results. Talking of products that evoke passion??? How many people do you know that have the McDonalds logo tattooed on their body? Not many I would imagine, but millions of people have the words Harley-Davidson tattooed on their body. I know I do.

So it should come as no surprise that the Harley-Davidson Motor Co. would keenly associate itself with a company like Legend Motorcycles when looking to expand its dealer network in UK. Leeds Harley-Davidson officially opened its doors to the public on May 12th, 2012 at 1 wellington road, Industrial estate – Leeds city centre.

Part of the building project was to ensure a very modern and spacious layout which would make specialist retail outlets look decidedly out of date. At the same time it will be inviting and welcoming to one and all, family included – because buying high calibre machinery such as Harley-Davidson is a major investment today and it becomes part of the family life.

Leeds Harley also is able to offer riders an intimate and quality service centre, handling routine service work, modifications, Dyno runs, fitment of accessories and so much more. Leeds Harley has assembled a group of passionate enthusiasts with years of experience in motorcycling between them. Only Harley-Davidson is spoken here. Leeds Harley-Davidson^® - Our Story

Prospective Leeds Harley-Davidson customer will not only be able to browse new and used bikes,but also a huge range of the famed Harley parts, accessories, MotorClothes and merchandise, all of which will be available here. There will, of course, be modern workshop facilities featuring staff trained to Harley-Davidson Master Technician level– the skill level of these technicians is often above that of training college lecturers.

The opening of the new Leeds Harley-Davidson dealership is the result of Leeds-based Shahzad Ahmed, and his cousin Sohail Khan, under the guiding arm of Jennings Motor Group, a multi franchise car dealership with major outlets throughout the North and Marketing for Leeds Harley-Davidson and is extremely excited about the imminent opening: “We look forward to opening the latest store of such a prestigious brand – and meeting local riders. We’ll have all the Harley-Davidson machines new and existing customers could want, as well as expert staff to help you choose and service the right machine for you"said Shahzad Ahmed, Managing Director Sales & Marketing.

Sohail Khan, Managing Director of Aftersales is keen to point out that Leeds Harley-Davidson is keen to bring back the social element of owning a Harley-Davidson. Along with the main opening event, plans are afoot to continue developing a good rapport with new and existing customers. One way is via evening and weekend events to support the local community and as a place where motorcyclists of all genres can meet and discuss their favourite hobby.

Another way is familiarity – some key staff from the city’s former Harley dealership have been targeted to come and work for Leeds Harley-Davidson. The two men in charge have done their home work and realised that dependable and knowledgeable staff are hard to come by, and that customer loyalty is highly valued. And when put together everyone benefits.The faces of the new dealer principal, clothing and accessory staff and several service technicians will be recognised by former customers, and  appreciated by new clientele because of the staff ’s exact in knowledge and
experience. And if there happened to be the odd occasion where something doesn’t fit, can’t be answered, or can’t be seen, Harley- Davidson’s legendary back-up service will come to the fore, which means products and technical advice get to the dealer very quickly. Until Leeds Harley-Davidson officially opens it doors in june.
